Your hypermobile clients are not failing. The framework is.

A New Approach to Hypermobility: Maximizing Movement Impact in EDS & Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders

A 4-hour workshop that replaces outdated thinking with a neuroscience-backed approach that actually works — for your hypermobile clients and for you.
The Neuro Studio Patient Program
What if everything you have been taught about hypermobility is only half the picture?

Your hypermobile clients are trying. They are doing all the things: moving carefully, building awareness, avoiding heavy loads, following every recommendation they have been given. And many of them are still struggling.

That is not a reflection of you or of them. It is a reflection of a gap in how hypermobility has been taught.

Most approaches assume the nervous system is receiving reliable information from the connective tissue. For hypermobile clients, it often is not. Think of it like GPS. Their proprioceptive system is operating in a zone with a poor signal, which means the standard toolkit, more body awareness, more stability work, more drilling of proprioception, is asking the nervous system to navigate with broken equipment. And when that does not work, the temptation is to try something else. Different exercises. Another theraband variation. Something else thrown at the wall in the hope that this time it sticks.

There is a better way. And it starts with having a clear framework for what the nervous system actually needs before you choose a single exercise, because repetition without the right sensory foundation does not build capacity. It just reinforces what is already not working.

THE PARADIGM SHIFT:

The Old model
  • Go low and slow
  • Add load or completely avoid heavy loads
  • Drill proprioception constantly
  • Focus on joint protection above all else
THE NEURO STUDIO APPROACH
  • Determine green, yellow, and red lights for your clients.
  • Focus on clearer sensory inputs from 3 diverse neurological systems (visual, vestibular, proprioception)
  • Work with the nervous system's actual hierarchy, not against it
  • Build load tolerance progressively – because avoiding load is not the same as building capacity

This isn't a contrarian take for the sake of it. It's what neuroscience tells us. And it changes everything about how you approach a hypermobile client on day one.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Why proprioception is unreliable in hypermobility and more importantly what can you do about it to IMPROVE proprioception
  • How to assess which sensory systems are giving your client accurate information
  • The triangulation method – a practical framework for sequencing sensory input in sessions
  • How to progress loading safely – and why "low and slow" can actually work against hypermobile clients over time
  • EDS, generalized hypermobility, and the spectrum in between: how the presentation changes your approach
  • Real-world modifications for Pilates, functional training, and rehab settings

WHO THIS IS FOR

  •   Pilates teachers who have hypermobile clients and feel like they're guessing

  •  Physical therapists and OTs who work with EDS or hypermobility spectrum disorder

  •  Anyone who has tried the standard approach and watched their client plateau

  • Movement professionals who want to understand the neuroscience behind why some things work and others don't

ABOUT MEGHANN

Meghann Koppele Duffy is one of the leading voices in neurological movement education. As co-founder of The Neuro Studio and host of Three Questions Podcast, she has spent over 25 years developing and teaching a neuroscience-based approach to movement - one that prioritizes how the brain processes information over how exercises look on paper. She has taught practitioners across five continents, and her approach to hypermobility has helped both clients and professionals completely rethink what "progress" looks like..
