Lab Details:
Advanced Neuro Lab – a 2‑day immersive experience designed to help you practice, play, and fully integrate the advanced techniques from our Neuro Studio courses.
While each lab has its own rhythm, every participant leaves with a deeper understanding of the work, hands‑on practice, and the clarity that comes from having all their questions answered. Our goal is to elevate your skills by refining the techniques and assessments taught in the Advanced Neuro Techniques course – the ones that create meaningful shifts in proprioception through the three primary sensory systems. You’ll also learn how to integrate the visual and vestibular systems for lasting change, improving balance, gait patterns, and your ability to confidently apply these advanced strategies with every client.
We also offer a Zoom option for those who can’t attend in person. And because of our extensive experience teaching these methods both live and virtually, you won’t be passively watching. You’ll receive direct, personalized feedback from Mariska and a select group of our top Level 3 teachers – practitioners who have completed a year‑long mentorship and continue to study this work at the highest level.
Day 1 – Full-body, Full-brain ImmersionÂ
Day 1 is where you discover your primary sensory inputs and finally understand how your own system organizes movement. You’ll get detailed demonstrations of assessments and techniques, then jump straight into self‑practice so you can feel the work come alive. Instead of generic cueing, you’ll receive personalized hands‑on feedback from Meghann, every correction tailored to your brain’s unique responses so the shifts are unmistakable in your own body.
By the end of Day 1, you’ll walk away with a grounded, embodied understanding of the 4‑Quadrant Stability Model™ and the confidence to integrate it into your own movement. This is the foundation every teacher needs to work effectively with complex clients – and it starts with knowing your own system first.
You’ll also deepen your understanding of:
- Your own sensory preferences
- How to use your cerebellum to evaluate every cue, sensory input, and movement choice
- How to ensure sensory integration, not disintegration – a common issue when stacking cues or overloading clients
- How to perform active assessments in real time, without stopping the movement or breaking the client’s flow, challenge, or focus
By the end of Day 1, you’ll have a clearer internal map of your own system and a more refined ability to sense, interpret, and adjust movement with precision.
Day 2 – Real‑World Application & Advanced Clinical Reasoning
Day 2 is where everything becomes real. You’ll observe live client demonstrations and practice applying your hands‑on techniques while sharpening your ability to identify the primary sensory input driving each client’s response.
You’ll be challenged to assess in real time, on real bodies, which can feel intimidating, but Meghann guides you step‑by‑step so your confidence grows from true competency, not theory alone.
You’ll also experience a scientific debrief that goes far beyond a standard Q&A. Together, we’ll break down what we see in each client, and how those observations can be confirmed or disproven through more precise assessments. We’ll explore how we interpret sensory drivers and stability patterns, and how those insights guide the next intervention with clarity and purpose.
This deeper dive helps you understand the work through your own unique lens, so you can apply these advanced strategies with clarity, precision, and authenticity.
What You’ll Walk Away With
By the end of the Advanced Labs, you will have:
- Sharper assessment skills
- Stronger hands‑on technique
- A deeper understanding of sensory drivers and stability patterns
- More confidence in real‑time decision‑making
- Greater clarity in how to apply advanced strategies with your clients
- And most importantly, the ability to create better, more consistent results for the people you serve
This isn’t just theory. You’ll get your questions answered in a supportive environment, ensure you’re applying techniques correctly, and leave with the confidence to work with any client who walks into your studio.
What Makes the Neuro Lab Different?
- Movement Integration: Day 1 is all about you – because we teach best when we can first practice what we preach. You’ll spend the day exploring and embodying the techniques in your own body, building awareness and confidence from the inside out. Each day concludes with a group movement session, giving your brain and body the chance to go “Ahhhhhh” as you integrate and embody everything you’ve learned.
- Real Client Demo: Day 2 begins with Meghann demonstrating assessments and techniques on actual clients, followed by a scientific debrief for observations, questions, and direct feedback.
- Hands‑On Practice: Pair up to practice the same assessments and techniques with guidance from Meghann.
Confidence Building: Move beyond understanding concepts and learn to implement them through your unique teaching lens while maintaining the integrity of the Neuro Studio approach.
